Gnocchi Ossolani – Culinary & Cultural Experience Join Margherita, your native Italian language tutor, and Chef Lorenzo for a hands-on Gnocchi Ossolani experience from the heart of Val d’Ossola. This class combines traditional Italian cooking with rich cultural insight, giving you a true taste of local heritage while practising your Italian. What You’ll Experience: Begin with a brief cultural introduction by Margherita, learning about the origins of Gnocchi Ossolani, the unique traditions of the valley, and the famous Bettelmatt cheese, a prized local specialty. Chef Lorenzo will demonstrate and teach each step of making your own gnocchi, guiding everyone in the class through the process. Once your gnocchi are prepared, Lorenzo will take over, leading an authentic Italian tasting experience, featuring gnocchi served with a porcini mushroom cream and the Bettelmatt cheese from the valley. Throughout the class, you’ll gain cultural insight into this precious regional tradition while practising Italian in a relaxed, interactive setting.
