Who is the course suitable for?This course is for adults aged 18 and over. No prior cooking or Italian language knowledge is needed. Just bring your enthusiasm!

How many people will be in the class?We keep the group small and intimate, with a maximum of 12 participants. This ensures everyone gets personal attention and can fully enjoy the experience.

What happens during the class?Welcome & Introduction Meet Margherita and learn about the origins of Italian pizza. Dough-Making Chef Lorenzo guides you through creating authentic pizza dough. Take-Home Dough Prepare a batch to take home and try later. Hand-Stretching Practice Learn the traditional technique for the perfect crust. Pizza Tasting (Degustazione) Enjoy a selection of stone-baked pizzas, freshly prepared by the chef. Italian Language Practice Pick up useful culinary Italian phrases throughout the session. Relax & Savour Sit back, enjoy the food, and soak up the atmosphere.

What happens if it rains?As this event is weather-dependent, it may be rescheduled or cancelled in the event of poor weather conditions. We’ll contact you in advance and offer an alternative date or a full refund if necessary.

What is the cancellation policy?Due to the preparation and planning involved, we require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel!

What happens if I miss the session or arrive late?Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before the class starts, as we’ll be preparing the space. The class will begin promptly on time to ensure the full experience for all participants. If you're running late, please notify us by text or call as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer refunds or reschedule for missed sessions, but we’ll do our best to accommodate you if you arrive partway through.

Is the class taught entirely in Italian?No, the class is taught in a mix of English and Italian. Both Lorenzo and Margherita are native Italian speakers and will use Italian to keep the experience authentic, but they also speak English and will guide you clearly throughout. No prior knowledge of Italian is needed!

Can I come alone or bring a friend?Both are welcome! Whether you’re coming solo or with a friend, you’ll be part of a small, friendly group and made to feel right at home.

Are dietary requirements/allergens accommodated?While we at Say Italiano strive to create an inclusive and enjoyable learning experience, we must highlight that our Italian cooking classes involve the use of common allergens such as gluten, dairy, and nuts. Given the nature of our classes and the variety of ingredients used, there is a high risk of cross-contamination, and unfortunately, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Therefore, if you have any food allergies, we strongly advise you to inform us before booking. This allows us to provide personalized advice and ensure that you can make an informed decision regarding your participation. Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities, so please reach out to us with your specific needs.

Are there any cultural aspects included in the course? ​As a born and bred Italian, Margherita will help you with cultural insights and understand Italian customs, traditions, and social etiquette, enhancing your overall experience during your holiday and to avoid causing any unintentional upset.

Can I continue learning Italian after completing the holiday course?Certainly! If you enjoy the course and wish to continue learning, please speak to Margherita and she we help to build a plan tailored to your needs.

​How long is the course and what is the schedule like?The course is divided in 4 session. Each session will run on a Monday evening 7pm till 9pm. Eventually we hope to be able to offer a daytime course with demand. ​

Are courses family-friendly? Would I be able to do it with my family?​Yes, the course is family-friendly, and you are welcome to participate with your family members. Learning Italian together can be a fun and enriching experience for everyone.

Will there be opportunities for practice and interaction?Absolutely. The course includes interactive activities, role-playing, and practical exercises to reinforce your learning and boost your confidence in using Italian.

What materials do I need for the course?It's recommended to bring a notebook and pen for personal notes, and a drink if you wish.

What topics will be covered in the course?The course will cover basic Italian vocabulary and phrases related to travel, greetings, dining, shopping, and navigating common situations encountered during a holiday in Italy. ​

Will the course help me with pronunciation?Yes, pronunciation is an integral part of the course. Margherita will focus on helping you pronounce words accurately to ensure effective communication.

What happens if I miss a class?At Say Italiano, we understand that life can sometimes get in the way of attending a class. If you miss a class, we encourage you to reach out to Margherita to let her know as soon as possible. Say Italiano will be able to provide you with materials or a summary of what was covered in class. We may be able to offer recordings of each class, so you can catch up on what you missed on your own time, but is not always guarantee. However, please note that we do not offer refunds for missed classes. We believe that consistent attendance is important for effective language learning, and we encourage all of our students to attend each session of the 4 week holiday basic course to get the most out of it!

Do I need any prior knowledge of Italian to join the course?No prior knowledge is required. This course is tailored for beginners, and Margherita will guide you through the basics.

What payment methods do you accept for private Italian lessons?Say Italiano accepts most Credit Card and Debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay & PayPal. Payment is due 48h before the start of each lesson. If you have any questions or concerns about payment, please don't hesitate to contact me.

What happens if I miss a session with Say Italiano?At Say Italiano, we understand that life can get busy and unexpected things can happen. If you are unable to attend a lesson, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule. We require at least 48 hours notice rescheduling requests. If you miss a session without notifying us, we cannot guarantee a makeup. However, we will do our best to accommodate your needs and find a solution that works for both parties. Our goal is to help you reach your language learning goals, so don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about missed sessions.
